Your travel pharmacy, packed by destination
Half the travel kits we see are missing the two things that matter and full of things that never leave the suitcase. Here's how we pack ours.
Start with the boring essentials
Rehydration salts, a good antidiarrhoeal, broad-spectrum sunscreen, and any regular medicines in their original boxes with a copy of the script. These earn their place everywhere from Bali to Berlin.
Then tailor to the destination
South-East Asia: mosquito repellent with DEET and a plan for malaria zones. Europe in summer: antihistamines and blister care. Altitude: talk to us before you go, not at the airport.
Skip the hype
Most 'immune-boosting' travel supplements do little. Your money's better spent on travel insurance and a pre-trip GP check four to six weeks out.
